Privacy Policy
The short, honest version. Last updated: May 8, 2026.
This page summarises what data we process about you, why, and what we do with it. We don't collect anything we don't need. We don't share anything with anyone who doesn't need it to help us reply to you.
Who is the data controller
The data controller is Unify Technology, s.r.o., registered office at Korunní 2569/108, 101 00 Prague 10, Czech Republic, Company ID (IČ): 17266637, VAT ID (DIČ): CZ17266637, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague. For any privacy-related question write to hello@unify.cz.
What data we process
We only process data you send us yourself through the contact form or by email — typically your name, email address, optionally your company or organisation name, and the content of your message. When you visit the site, our hosting infrastructure logs standard technical data (IP address, browser type, request time) for security and stability purposes.
Why we process it
We process the data so that we can reply to your message and follow up on it (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract or steps prior to entering into one). Server access logs are processed under the legitimate interest of keeping the website secure and stable (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence only for as long as it's needed — typically while our conversation still makes sense, and at most two years after the last contact. If our exchange leads to a contractual relationship, retention follows that relationship and any statutory obligations (e.g. accounting). Operational logs are deleted within weeks.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data and we don't share it for marketing. We only work with the processors we need to run the service — specifically our hosting provider (Vercel Inc., USA) which operates the site servers, and our domain email provider for message delivery. These processors are bound by a data processing agreement and process the data only under our instructions. For any transfer outside the EU we rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses under Article 46 GDPR.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses only essential technical cookies needed for the page to work and to remember your language preference. For basic traffic statistics we use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights — these measure aggregated, anonymised data (visit counts, page performance), use no cookies and don't identify individual visitors. No marketing tracking, no third-party advertising cookies, no fingerprinting.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access your data, to rectify it, erase it, restrict its processing, object to its processing, and data portability. You can exercise any of these rights at any time — just write to hello@unify.cz and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. If you believe we're handling your data improperly, you may lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.cz) or with your local supervisory authority in the EU.
Security
All communication with the website happens over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to your messages is limited to the narrow circle of people who need to handle them. We don't process personal data for longer than necessary, and we don't store it where it doesn't need to be.
Changes to this policy
If the way we process data changes, we'll update this page and put a new date at the top. For substantial changes we'll let you know directly if we have an ongoing conversation with you.
